100,000 shelters have been built and another 12, 000 are on their way

The E-Shelter & CCCM Cluster Coordination Unit is able to announce the benchmark figure of 100,000 Transitional Shelters constructed for earthquake affected families across Haiti. These shelters, built through the projects of cluster member organizations, provide secure living accommodation for 420,000 people who suffered the loss of their home in the earthquake of 12 January 2010.
