Registration Update 15 October 2010

The first time emergency registration of IDPs located in the IDP sites in the Port-au-Prince (PaP) and the southern regions1 has now been completed. The efforts of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in collaboration with the Government of Haiti (GoH) through the Department of Civil Protection (DPC in French), began on the 25th of February through to the 15th of October, 2010. The registration sought to include all households displaced from their homes into IDP sites as a result of the earthquake. The IDP sites for registration were identified through the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), as well as Camp Management Agencies (CMA) and the IOM Camp Management Operations (CMO).
